H2 (abbreviation for History 2), formerly History International (abbreviated HI), is a digital cable and satellite television channel that features historical documentaries, traditionally with an international focus. H2 offers over 200 hours of original programming; the network’s current program schedule consists of reruns of documentary programming previously seen on sister channel History primarily from the mid-2000s onward, but not including the channel’s reality television series.H2 HD is a 720p high definition simulcast of the channel launched in mid-November 2009. It is available nationally on AT&T U-verse and Dish Network; as well as regionally on Time Warner Cable, Bright House Networks, Comcast, Mediacom, Suddenlink and Cox Communications.
